BLOOMING BEAUTY AWAITS
FRESH-CUT MAINE FLOWERS ROOTED IN FAMILY
Est. 1934. Kennebunk's newest flower shop, carrying on three generations of floristry. Local, wild & sustainable — always.
FlowerChild Maine didn't start with me — it started in 1934, when my grandparents opened their own flower shop. Back then, commercial flight didn't even exist, so every flower they sold was grown close to home. Their original sign now hangs proudly in our new space at 36B Main Street — a nod to where it all began.
Bringing that tradition to Kennebunk has been a true labor of love: painting walls, sourcing the freshest local stems, and building something from the ground up in a town that's become home. Every bouquet we design carries that legacy forward — one bloom at a time.

LOCAL, WILD & SUSTAINABLE
Fresher Blooms. Smaller Footprint. Stronger Community.
Most flowers you'll find at a grocery store have traveled thousands of miles to reach you. We do things differently, the way flowers were always meant to be sold: close to home.
-
No floral foam. We've banned this toxic, non-biodegradable material from our shop entirely.
-
No plastic wraps. Our bouquets are wrapped with the planet in mind, not landfill in mind.
-
Locally sourced whenever possible! We try to bring every stem from small farms right here in Maine.
That means fresher flowers that last longer in your home, direct support for the hardworking growers who keep our countryside beautiful, and a stronger local economy.
